Game plan

A Fire-element Switch Axe running the Element Phial for sustained elemental discharge. The Gogma Artian stacks Element Focus with double Element Boost EX for 756 fire, and Critical Element 3 plus Fire Attack 3 from the weapon decos make every Zero Sum Discharge a fire bomb. Build the gauge in Sword Mode, spam Sword: Element Discharge to keep the amp up, and unload Full Release Slash / Zero Sum Discharge when the monster is pinned to a fire-weak part. Gore Magala's Tyranny (2P) plus Antivirus 3 (from the Sane jewels) turns the blight into free affinity, while Power Prolonger 3 keeps the amped state alive far longer. Latent Power from the Throttle jewels rounds out the comfort.
